I
was born in Wolverhampton, England, in 1962 with a mixed Irish and English
background. All my life I have had a love of painting and drawing,
especially portraiture. Now I happily accept commissions for portraits of
children or adults, particularly musicians. This reflects my own interest
in traditional music and I have produced work for a number of album covers.
I also accept pet portrait commissions for cats, dogs and other animals.
Most of my work is in either pencil or watercolour, but I have also worked
in acrylics, as well as pen and wash for ‘caricature’ type portraits and my
‘furry musicians’. My work in pastels aims to capture some of the life and
movement of music and the instruments played.
Commissions start from £100
sterling for a single subject unframed portrait in any of the above media
and I am happy to work from good quality photographs sent to me by post or
email. A number of my originals are available. To discuss a commission or
